NY labels Ghostly International + Cascine will team up on Wednesday, October 17th to host a special CMJ 2012 showcase at Le Baron in Chinatown. This private event will feature special performances by artists from each label & a limited number of tickets will be sold in advance, with buyers receiving a Matthew Dear Slowdance EP & a Cascine Standouts CD. The first 50 CMJ badges will be allowed entry.

Having grown from a boutique operation known for its experimental pop & techno acumen, to an internationally recognized platform for the work of the world’s best visual artists, designers, technologists & musicians, Ghostly serves as a case study for the shifting shape of a contemporary record label.

Cascine is a young pop imprint with an instantly recognizable sound & aesthetic. Widely praised for output that’s both stylish + optimistic, Cascine plays around the fringes of modern pop with a sense of effortlessness.
