Here We Go Magic + indie pop + tour dates +

04. 10

Here We Go Magic have released album centerpiece & second single, “How Do I Know,” off of their forthcoming LP, A Different Ship. With its instantly hummable refrain, “How Do I Know” builds layer by layer from a simple guitar-vocals-drums combo into a swirling symphony of glorious noise. The track is the molten core at the center of the sunny & spacious album that the band recorded with Nigel Godrich. A Different Ship is available for pre-order now with an instant digital download here.

Here We Go Magic will also be releasing a 7” of “How Do I Know” backed with the previously unreleased “My Plate’s on Fire.” An outtake from their sessions with Godrich, the fuzzy drone of “Plate” creeps steadily along under singer Luke Temple’s falsetto & demonstrates the range of this remarkable band. The single is available today via all digital retailers, physical copies of the 7” will be in stores May 22nd.

Fenster + indie pop + folk +

02. 08

NY-Berlin trio Fenster have announced their forthcoming debut full-length, Bones, slated for a March 13 release with Morr Music. The group will embark on their 1st ever US tour including 3 performances in NYC surrounding their scheduled appearances at SXSW.

Fenster began as New York native JJ Weihl + Berlin-based Jonathan Jarzyna started experimenting with de-constructed pop music, layering subtle distortions, melodic chords & city soundscapes under dream narratives. Bones takes its narrative structure from the associative logic of dreams, weaving morbid imagery + playful fairytales together into a sardonic play against backdrops of dark forests, train rides, graveyards, mountains & seashores. Fenster’s sound + recording style has analog warmth, exploring the relationship between machine errors in their circuit bended beats & the tactile use of objects + instrumentation.

Coast Jumper + indie pop + Grand Opening +

01. 24

Coast Jumper forwent the luxury of dingy motel rooms + camped out across the country, packing their lives into a car that would take them from the blank winters of their youth to where they would eventually complete their five-man lineup in California.

Meeting as teenagers in upstate New York, the members of Coast Jumper spent 4 years growing up together under the same roof, enduring the harsh winters, friendships come & gone, life. Sequestering themselves one winter in their dimly lit basement, Coast Jumper assembled the collage that is Grand Opening. Equal parts ambiance, aggression, harmony, & release, it’s about lost loves but it’s also about new ones. It’s about finding purpose + meaning in something, but also becoming disillusioned with the whole damn thing. It feels like a bunch of kids growing into themselves. In that basement, they took an oath to never stop.

Coast Jumper:“This is our very first album. It’s called Grand Opening. We’ve put in hundreds of hours, heart, and soul into this record; we are very proud of it. Do hope you like it.

Two things:

1) You can pay whatever you want for it. We appreciate anything you want to throw our way, but we won’t hate you if you don’t pay us (promise).

2) Please listen to it in order, as a whole, at least once. “

Get it now on Bandcamp. Now playing “For Youth”.
San Cisco + indie pop +

01. 12

Indie-poppers San Cisco from Fremantle in sunny Western Australia deliver, “Awkward”, the title track from their 2nd EP to be released early next month.

The Aussie quartet have captured the attention of industry & fans with their 1st single, “Golden Revolver” off the debut EP of the same name.

San Cisco’s second EP was recorded in Melbourne with Steven Schram (Little Red, Cat Empire, Little Birdy) & is over-flowing with goodness, so much so, that they’ll be holding a few gems over for their next release.
