01. 28

Many people have been saying it, but you probably won’t believe it until you see it. DZ Deathrays is a 2-piece band: Shane Parsons (vocals/guitar) + Simon Ridley (drums). Since the 1st house party the Brisbane-based duo ever played, they have been noted as a relentless live act. 2011 proved to be no different as the 2 friends hit the highways of Australia with many acts including Foo Fighters, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, F*cked Up, + Dananananaykroyd. DZ Deathrays quickly fell into the good graces of tastemakers around the globe. Upon returning to Australia in early November 2011, Shane + Simon finally ventured into the studio to record their highly anticipated debut LP with Richard Pike (of PVT) & Neil Coombe at the White Room Studios in Mt. Nebo. What they surfaced with is a killer album that we’re thrilled to be able to present to you later this year.

On March 6th, DZ Deathrays will release their U.S. debut EP, No Sleep, via 3|4 (OFWGKTA, Bass Drum of Death). Shortly after the release, don’t miss your chance to see DZ Deathrays at SXSW!
